2026 COACHING STAFF
John Greiner - Head Coach
Coach John Greiner will enter his 27th year of coaching in the upcoming season. He previously spent 15 years with the Pennsbury football program from 2000 to 2014. He then served as head coach at Bristol Borough from 2015 to 2018 and at Council Rock North from 2019 to 2023. Over the past two seasons, he returned to Bristol Borough as an assistant coach. In addition to his coaching career, Coach Greiner has been a Social Studies teacher at Pennsbury High School since 1998, instructing 9th- and 10th-grade students. He earned his undergraduate degree from Millersville University and later obtained his master’s degree from Holy Family University. He currently resides in Newtown Borough with his wife, Blair, and their two sons, J.P. and Trent.
Jeff Arndt - Running Backs
Coach Jeff Arndt is entering his 20th year of coaching and his second stint at Pennsbury. A 1996 Pennsbury graduate and quarterback from 1993 to 1995, Coach Arndt graduated from Wesley College in 2001. He majored in Health and Physical Education and was quarterback of the football team. Coach Arndt teaches Health and Physical Education at Pennsbury High School. Coach Arndt lives in Lower Makefield with his wife, Tracey, and children, Jack and Camryn.
Joe Cavanaugh – Offensive Line
Coach Joe Cavanaugh joins the Pennsbury football staff with plenty of coaching experience and a passion for working with athletes to reach their full potential. He spent six years coaching with the Far Northeast (Philadelphia) Youth Football Organization and more than 10 years coaching amateur boxing and cardio conditioning boxing. A 1988 graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Joe played two years of football and four years of wrestling during his time there. He went on to serve for 33 years as a correctional officer at the Bucks County Correctional Facility before retiring in 2024. He currently works as a security officer at Pennsbury West, where he started with the 2024-25 school year. Joe lives in Levittown with his partner of 17 years, Veronica, and their dog, Bob. When he’s not coaching, he enjoys fishing, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Phillies and Eagles.
John Daidone - Cornerbacks
Coach John Daidone has 30 years of coaching experience and starts this year as the defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator. Coach Daidone returns to the varsity program after spending the past 20-plus years coaching various positions in the district. He is a graduate of Pennsbury High School and The College of New Jersey, where he also played football at the collegiate level. He holds a master's degree in Education and currently teaches Health and Physical Education at Pennwood Middle School.
Christian Day - Defensive Coordinator
Coach Christian Day is a former multi-sport collegiate athlete and current football coach who’s been around the game at both the high school and college levels. He played at Downingtown East before continuing at Valley Forge Military College and Valparaiso University, where he also ran track. Along the way, he’s had the chance to coach defensive backs at Downingtown East and Albright College, serve as defensive coordinator at Octorara, and coach the defensive line at Eastern University. He also spent time shadowing Coach Clint Hurtt of the Philadelphia Eagles during training camp for the 2024–2025 season, which was a great opportunity to continue learning and growing in the profession. He comes from a strong, sports-oriented family—his father is a Division I basketball coach at La Salle, his grandfather, Joe Crawford, was an NBA referee, and his mother played basketball at Villanova. What he loves most about coaching is the impact it allows him to have beyond football—helping shape young men and building real relationships with families in the community.
Zach DeMarchis - Defensive Backs
Coach DeMarchis is a 2018 graduate of Pennsbury High School. He went on to play defensive back at West Chester University from 2018 to 2022. This is his first year coaching high school football. He is also a strength and conditioning coach at Kalinowski Performance Academy in Yardley. He is a lifelong resident of Levittown, PA.
David Gray - JV Head Coach
Coach Gray is a proud 2012 graduate of Pennsbury High School, where he played football. He is entering his first year coaching at Pennsbury. Coaching has been his passion for as long as he can remember, and he brings over six years of coaching experience to the program. When he’s not on the field, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, including his partner and their daughter, who are his biggest supporters. He is excited to begin this new chapter and looks forward to making a positive impact on these student-athletes. Go Falcons!!
Bill Ferrara - QB’s & Quality Control
Coach Ferrara is a 1978 graduate of Neshaminy High School, where he played football. He attended Bucks County Community College until 1982 and then transferred to Trenton State College (The College of New Jersey), where he graduated in 1985. Coach Ferrara has coached high school football for 42 years at different high schools (Neshaminy, Council Rock, Council Rock South, and Bishop Egan). He is a retired public educator (health and physical education teacher, assistant high school principal, high school principal, and superintendent). Coach Ferrara has been married to Susan for 32 years and has adult children, Tyler (29) and Courtney (28).
Dalton Johnson - Linebackers
Coach Johnson is a 2018 Pennsbury graduate, where he played from 2015 to 2017. After graduating, he went on to West Chester University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. This is his fifth year coaching, with previous stops at Pennsbury, Council Rock, and middle school football. He currently teaches Physical Education in the Central Bucks School District.
Shane Oros - Offensive Coordinator
Coach Shane Oros is entering his fifth year coaching varsity football and his first year at Pennsbury High School as offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. A former player at Delaware Valley University (2017–2022), Coach Oros was part of four consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference championship teams and earned All-Conference honors on special teams. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Technologies and is currently a teacher in the BCIT Department at Pennsbury High School. Coach Oros is passionate about developing student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom, emphasizing growth, discipline, and character.
Matt Rosso - Defensive and Offensive Line
Coach Rosso graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2018. He went on to play offensive line at Rutgers University from 2018 to 2022 and played a graduate year at UNC Charlotte during the 2022–2023 season. This is his first year coaching high school football. He is a lifelong resident of Fallsington, PA.
Cliff Stout – Director of Football Operations
Coach Stout, a former Falcon football player and a 1974 graduate, recently retired after teaching English for 23 years at PHS. Coach Stout began coaching football for the Falcons in 1992, coaching at the middle school and freshman levels. In addition to his on-field coaching, he was the videographer for 13 years. Between 2005 and 2015, Coach Stout was the Director of Football Operations for the Falcons, helping Coach Snyder with the day-to-day operations of running the grades 7–12 football program, and he continues to hold that title under Coach Greiner.
Elijah Slaughter - Freshman Head Coach
Coach Elijah Slaughter is a 2020 Pennsbury graduate who played offensive tackle and defensive end for the Falcons. He returned to Pennsbury Football as an offensive and defensive line coach in 2021. He went on to attend East Stroudsburg University, where he played rugby, and now teaches Health and Physical Education at William Penn Middle School. Football runs in his family, as both his dad and uncle also played at Pennsbury. He is proud to continue giving back to the Pennsbury community.
Braden Kotter - Freshman Assistant Coach
Coach Braden Kotter is a 2022 graduate of Council Rock High School South, where he played football. He continued his playing career at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, as a tight end. In 2026, he graduated from Lycoming with a bachelor’s degree in History and a certification in Secondary Education. Coach Kotter is entering his first year of coaching and currently resides in Southampton.
